Writing and Me – A Brief Introduction

I can’t believe I did it.

After weeks of thinking about it, talking about it with others, wrestling with my thoughts if I am insane for doing this, putting himself out there on the internet for people to read about, I finally took that first plunge to start a blog.

Do I actually think I’m insane for doing this? Yes. Yes I do. So a big welcome to those who took the time to read up to this paragraph. I hope I haven’t bored you yet.

So who am I?

My name is Leo Ladia. I’m a thirty-one year old Filipino-Australian who loves writing and telling stories. I love it so much that I have a novel out there called ‘Lakeside’.

Dreams do come true

Why did I start a blog?

Part of it is because I do want to share my thoughts on writing and all the experiences that came with it. Another part is because I want to hear what other people have to say about their own writing styles (e.g. what keeps them motivated?).

However my main reason is because I have been drowning in an ocean of procrastination then I care to admit and I hope starting this blog will help me keep accountable with my writing goals. Anyway that’s all I have for now.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you. You’ve made this writer happy. I do want to improve, to become a better blogger. So please tell me, did you enjoy what you’ve read so far? What parts did you like? What parts didn’t work for you?

Let me know in the comment section below. I will be putting up a post every fortnight, maybe even once a week, depending if I get the time (See. Procrastination at its finest). Till then, keep writing everyone.

Well done, Leo! I, too, have just embarked on this ride they call blogging. I will be following you as my inspiration to continue avoiding my own procrastination tendencies.

Aw thanks Flo! I’m really flattered. Good on you too for embarking on this blogging gig. I’ve been there with procrastination and still fall into it every week or so, so you’re not alone 🙂
